The amount of people who think...

That the MR2 is twin turbo

I don't know whether to find it amusing or to shove their head in the engine bay encouraging them to look for a second turbo

Sorry. Just saw this on Ebay and it got me started http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAMBORGHINI-M ... 7675.l2557

And those doors. It would look right at home in a Spearmint Rhino car park.

To be fair most people are going to fall asleep if you correct them and tell them that its actualy a twin scroll turbo, not a twin turbo.

It just seems a shame to want to impersonate these cars when alternatively you could spend that kind of money on the MR2 and embarrass supercars instead \:D/

I hope the car is better built than that trampoline in the background...

For 20k you would be expecting it to be perfect in every way not needing a load of work done. I think a nicely modified mr2 looks far better than that also, but that's just my biased opinion

WTF?

Post by mr2matt »

I'd hate to know how much money someone put into this, but surely they could have bought some hubcentric wheel spacers for the rear to make it look less s*** than it already does

It's not just your opinion, I agree with you completely.

All that money spent and they have left an import square number plate in a Uk rectangular recess. Attention to detail!

I also agree that as soon as someone notices one of the many tell tale signs you will just look a total knob, not to mention the fact that you know you are driving a seriously weighed down Toyota!

Considering how good replicas can look, it's always disappointing when there's stupid shortcuts. There's nothing wrong with bodykitted or kit cars per-se. Having said that I know a few guys with real deals who scrimped also. As long as there's not fake badges put on -I took off fake AMG badges, fake "S class" badge (doesn't even look like one) and a "Bentley" emblem off mine (WTF?), just got little tiny cheap bodges to sort out proper (why will folk bodge when it's that cheap to fix proper!!!).

I completely agree  The devil is in the detail otherwise it's a complete fail.

The Murcie just doesn't do it for me, the interior is fugly, an instant giveaway and the external dimensions on the nose cone to front wheel look way too small. Somehow it looks stretched but no mention of it in the ad but if so it would need full VOSA authority and I'm sure this would be mentioned if it's been done and has a certificate.

The Dino on the other hand is super sexy, if it's one of John Hurst's kits (JH Classics) his command a minimum of £15k on resale as the kit is so good. One of his won best Toyota a t JAE last year and looked outstanding.
