Here comes what may appear to be a random question but isn't: Do your popup headlights work?

OK... I might ignore the cig-lighter as I've seen them stop working due to the actual socket itself. (Besides, you'd be complaining that your stereo wasn't working if that fuse was dead)

Given it's the HAZ-HORN fuse, does your horn work?

no, but it never has (the hazards have always worked) there is power going to the relay (it's clicking) as we measured it with a voltmeter.

sorry, that was really unclear, the horn relay is clicking and has power to it. the hazard relay must be working as i have indicators.

If the hazards aren't working but the indicators are, there are very few palces the fault can be: http://shinny.co.uk/toyota/MR2_SW_1993_ ... /tshwl.pdf

1) the wiring to the HAZ-HORN fuse
2) The HAZ-HORN fuse itself
3) The wiring from the fuse to the hazard switch
4) The hazard switch itself

I'd hazard a guess (boom boom!) that it's the switch that's packed in.

it is possible, we shorted out the haz-horn fuse while trying to get the horn working, replaced the fuse and still have power to the horn relay, but no hazards, i've no idea if the hazards were working just prior to this, it's been a while since the car has broken down :D, i guess first step would be to get a new switch :-k

is there any way to check if it's the switch?? possibly bridging a couple of wires in the connector block??

pretty sure it's the switch now, with hazard switch on, the indicators don't flash, annoyingly, the car is away for it;s MOT on Monday, so need to source a switch before then

If you are sure there is power getting to pin 8 on the plug that goes into the switch then yes, the switch must be at fault.
