Thanks mate, it's got 240k which is in KM which is approx.
.

Where in london are you? I commute into london so seeing it wont be a problem.
Any rust on the car? has the car has a recent paint job? whats the exterior like? any dings/dents/lacquer peel? Who did the conversion?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Re: [FINALIZED] 94’ MR2 Turbo GTS Rev3 Tintop SMG
Hi,
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
East London, near Ilford.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
As you can see the exterior is very clean as it was kept in garage during most of its life.
No major dents/rust, apart from only a slight bubble on the wing
(shown on pic) and again on sill
(doesn't show up on pic).![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
No paint job and the conversion was done by a Toyota specialist in Nov 2011.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Thanks

Certainly
, the MR2 Turbo GTS Rev3 in
£2,700 is a great deal as you are saying that you have replaced the drop links, joints
, polyurethane bushes etc.
.I must day that the Polyurethane bushings is very important in any automobiles it helps your cars to drive smooth on tough roads.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: [FINALIZED] 94’ MR2 Turbo GTS Rev3 Tintop SMG
After taking the trip from Coventry to London to view this I noted a few things which may
'need attention' shall we say.
.
.
.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Every time you use full throttle it violently cuts out at about 4000rpm, even though it apparently
"boosts properly".
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
There are a multitude of knocks bangs and rattles from the suspension and the tracking is out.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Every time the brake pedal is pressed the abs pump throws a dicky fit and the abs seems to kick in.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
There is filler in the rear quarter and a poor paint repair job.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
A fairly severe oil leak from above the sump, which leaves drip marks on the floor.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
There is a hole in the passenger door
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Just thought fellow members of the forum should know about the dishonesty of the seller who tried to claim that the braking issues were normal, then was very carefully bringing it onto full boost to try and mask the boost issue and then said
"it's fast enough that I never use the turbo anyway".![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
So 230 miles, 6 hours and
£40 later, i'm still looking for a straight rev 3 turbo.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: [FINALIZED] 94’ MR2 Turbo GTS Rev3 Tintop SMG
Just because I knocked back your riduculous offer there is no need to sabotage my advert.
Lets clarify a few things.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
It does boost properly but like i said in the ad it's not running standard boost- obviously the MR2 has an automatic fuel cut to protect the engine which kicks in.
I explained to you a fuel cut defender will solve this.
4000rpm is incorrect if you actually looked at the needle or boost reader you were hitting max boost.Plus your little knowledge of MR2 was apparent as you expected full boost at the beginning when the car wasn't at operating temperature.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
ABS doesnt just kick in- this is untrue and would be dangerous and a MOT failure no questions asked.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I agree tracking is out and as for knocks 18" wheels will never leave you with a silky smooth ride.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
There is no filler in rear quarter as stated.
You can even check with magnets to see it is still metal.
Pull back trim to check for repair if in doubt.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
As for a servere oil leak there is no such thing, since I seriviced I have checked the oil level on a regular basis.
The oil level is exactly how it should be.
No spots of oil on road I even reitrated this you but you wanted throw a disrespectable offer and used this as a softening tactic.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Hole in te passenger door well I'll let potential buyer decide or have a look at the pics.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
As for being dishonest this is untirely unjust.
You went on a 45min test drive which included dual carriageway run.
How would i mask a boost problem by even showing the fuel cut kicking in and you also drove it yourself??? ![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Also to clarify when you came to see the car in pitch black not ideal but I took you to well lit fuel station so you could have proper look at the bodywork my own suggestion.
Is this an action of dishonest seller? ![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
It seems like no matter how someone may appear to you in person they may have malicious motive which they will try to enforce.
Obviously now you have a put a major doubt in a potential buyer and my credibility as a member on this forum, which is unfortunate but not the end of the world- truth
& honesty will always prevail! ![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
If you're expecting a
'straight' rev3 which is immaculate and in the condition of just leaving the factory
(mine is a used car so doesn't fit your purpose) then good luck in your search i hope you find what you are looking for.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
This timewaster
(even though he spent time
& money to view the car) has an history of blowing up turbo's(ask him he will explain) so he will be looking to pay cheap as chips for a car which in reality is worth a lot more and as you can see if he doesn't get his way with a derisory offer he will sabotage your ad along with your credibility and others views.
Not a credible buyer!
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
BTW- i will be MOTing the car within the next couple of weeks and if there is any work which needs to be done I will have it addressed.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Or maybe consider his criticisms in a constructive way, address the issues and stand a better chance of selling the car.

Re: [FINALIZED] 94’ MR2 Turbo GTS Rev3 Tintop SMG
I expected to be able to get in it and give it a proper test drive.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
It doesn't run properly and you tried to mask the fuel cut by not holding full boost and saying
"it's never been a problem as I don't use full throttle".
What a load of tosh
- who buys an MR2 turbo to only ever use it off boost?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
How you have the cheek to call me malicious is outrageous.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
The car needs a lot of work to be truly roadworthy hence my offer of
£1800.
And this is in my professional opinion as a mechanical engineer with years of experience in design and safety.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Did you never think to tell me that you can't drive it as it suffers from huge fuel cut? That is dishonest.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I'll take my lack of MR2 knowledge elsewhere
- I've only swapped the entire rear clip on 2 N/A's, owned a rev 3 track car and am good mates with a lad from Rogue.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Oh and those brush marks/pin holes in the rear quarter.

Having a mechanical engineering backround in network rail doesn't make you a motor vehicle expert let alone MR2 one.
As for safety and design experience do you think i would risk my own life or anyone elses by driving unroadworthy car? Get real!

Anyway good luck in your search and next time preferably view your next two in daylight with a motor mechanic on hand who can give sound knowledge advice along with an impartial view.

It doesn't run properly and you tried to mask the fuel cut by not holding full boost and saying"it's never been a problem as I don't use full throttle".
What a load of tosh
- who buys an MR2 turbo to only ever use it off boost?
How you have the cheek to call me malicious is outrageous.![]()
The car needs a lot of work to be truly roadworthy hence my offer of£1800.
And this is in my professional opinion as a mechanical engineer with years of experience in design and safety.

Did you never think to tell me that you can't drive it as it suffers from huge fuel cut? That is dishonest.![]()
I'll take my lack of MR2 knowledge elsewhere- I've only swapped the entire rear clip on 2 N/A's, owned a rev 3 track car and am good mates with a lad from Rogue.
Oh and those brush marks/pin holes in the rear quarter..
.
.
I think that's filler.
But what do I know hey?
The reason I'm a'newbie' is because my account from 4 years ago has been closed due to being inactive.
I'm only recently looking to buy another MR2 and preferably one that works as it should.

Re: [FINALIZED] 94’ MR2 Turbo GTS Rev3 Tintop SMG
Why dont you ask one of the members on here from the London area to give it a test drive for you and then it will be a neutral opinion for a prospective buyer to take on board? ![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Will MOT it in next couple of weeks, as I was planning to do this anyway and might consider what you have suggested in order to restore some credibility to this ad.
