Best way to find parts?

Post by widster »

Hi,

Can I just clarify, if i'm after some parts do I post in the wanted section or can I post in the mk1 forum? It's just that I've never had any responses in the wanted section before and it seems like mostly mk2 parts there? I've just become a premium member if that helps.

Thanks
Paul

We probably all know some people that can source some parts.

Try Neil Jones's website...

www.mk1mr2.webs.com

He's got literally everything.

You need to be a premium member to sell parts Paul but not to buy them on here

Members sometimes moan about the prices that specialist breakers charge but they do have items that are not available elsewhere

Some parts for the Mk1 are no longer available new of course

Searching eBay can sometimes come up with useful items

It's nice to buy from other IMOC members where possible but the part you ask for may not be available at the time you want it

Thanks for the replies. So if I wanted a particular part can I post it in this section or does my request have to go in the wanted section? I'm just thinking that more mk1 owners would read this section. Don't want to get in trouble though :?

I would buy quite a few bits from him for my resto but the prices are quite steep.

They are not coming down though so I can only assume people are prepared to pay them.

There are so few specialist MR2 breakers in UK & I fear that prices will go up rather than down :(
