[Mk2] [Turbo] Column wiring and Engine Loom

Post by killerferret666 »

I've searched here and the web and cant find the exact information I'm after, So far ive found a wiring manual for a 1991 and 1993....I need a 1992 for a Rev2!

Main 2 areas are;

* The wiring from the stalks, which wire is what. (stalks not the dash - new dash dials be used so dont need to know)

* Also a wiring pinout from the engine loom.

As part of the kitcar build Im going to build a loom as the weight will be much less then the current hoard of unneeded wires.

thanks in advance

In all honesty I have no idea, but if the pinouts changed elsewhere then no reason they couldnt of changed in the dash area.

AFAIK, stalk wiring is the same Rev1-3.

As for engine loom, you can work out much of it yourself, (especially if you deem youself capable of stripping the looms of redundant wiring).

I have translated JDM engine loom diagrams for all Revisions, so PM me if you have any specific queries once you've sorted out the bulk of it.

Cheers Peter, the stalk I can crack on with then.

I don't feel confident of stripping the looms of wiring just too much in there nowadays! but am confident enough to make a new loom as its for the kit car with only the basics in terms of wiring.

TBH, if there's any discrepancy between the diagrams and your parts, I'd pay more attention to the colours of wires than the pins they're in. That tends to be more reliable in my experience in MR2 wiring (I maintain and modify a '94 JDM turbo from the '91 and '93 diagrams) :thumleft:
