[Mk2] [Generic] Mk2 Rev 3 O/S brake light not working

Post by AnThoMan »

The offside brake light on my Mk2 Rev 3 is not working. The nearside brake light works fine and both tail lights are operational.

Unfortunately a new bulb didn't resolve this issue.

I've checked the voltage and it seems to be in line with what I'd expect to see across the contacts.

Am I missing something?

I don't have any back-probes so I haven't checked the current on the brake light (I presume that this is the only way to do this without splicing into the wiring, I'd prefer not to do this if possible).

Any help is appreciated.

bad contact then, if theres voltage to the bulb holder and a new bulb didnt work - i assume you tried the 'new' bulb in the other known working side, if so clean up the terminals
