[Mk2] [Turbo] white paint

Thanks john and no some of the early fords werent laqured dont think the sierra was in certain colours

AFAIK none of the early solid colours were lacquered.
they only started clear coating them when they went to water based paint.
easy way to tell is rub it with a little compound if the cloth turns body coloured then you dont have clear coat.


EDIT: might be hard on yours though as clearcoat goes white on the cloth as would yours if it wasnt

no the factory paint is not laquered in the solid white, my shell is a rev4 turbo and that is why i,m respraying it with a 3 coat system

cheers guys, makes painting things a bit easier, if I now paint the parts with water based paint will it be noticeable on the car?

I thought there were only 2 types of white on the mk2? (040 and 043) Mine is 043 and is lacquered.
