Rev3 red with 12 months MOT

Post by mk1paul »

Hi there

I currently have a mk1 mr2 and a TVR Chimaera.

I am looking for a mk2. Have seen a rev3 tbar with 12 months MOT.

What is the market like at the moment for these cars?
What sort of value do they have?

When it comes to mk1s I am happy but the mk2 is a bit unknown

Any guidance appreciated!

Need more info on the car in question to give you a rough idea. Have you got a link to the car? :thumleft:

No I haven't

It is a red tbar with leather (seat damaged)
82k with FSH
All electrics work
Red is faded a bit
Front arch is scratched
12 months MOT with no advisories

Value tends to vary depending on condition really. With the FSH and full years MOT with no advisories, on paper it sounds like it could be a solid enough Mk2.

I bought my 1995 NA in September with 11 months mot and a good, unfaded 3e5 red for £1400. It had 101k on the clock.

Nothing to do with me but saw this was listed today, UK car, one owner from new with full history. Money wise not cheap but looks like a very well looked after clean example.

Try before you buy, I'm a Mk1'er and just cannot get along with Mk2s, the driving experience is very different.

The Mk1's are over taking the Mk2's in terms of value. There are plenty of Mk2's around, some very cheap indeed but plenty of choice.

Thanks for all the help. Have just bought a rev4 tbar in red with 82k miles and FSH. Drives really well and I love the Tbar.

As I now have a mk1 mr2, mk2 mr2 and a TVR one has to go. Therefore have put the mk1 up for sale.
