Minimum weight

Post by Paulhilluk »

This is my first post where I am not actually trying to buy something on this site...

Yesterday while getting the sills weld on my Rev2, The guy doing the work asked me an interesting question...

"What weight can you get these down to?"

So Despite losing 500kg in rust (jokes) what have people actually achieved when going for weight reduction? Both with and without an interior?

Surely you can get them close to 1,000kg with all these composite wings, bonnets, boots and engine covers available...

There's a recent thread containing weight saving data if you have a little search. I doubt you'd make 1000kg though even if fully stripped ... I reckon still closer to 1100kg.
