[Mk2] [Turbo] Fuel Cut Help!

Post by Zentral »

Following on from my OTHER thread,

Today I turned my HKS FCD up from setting 9, to setting 10 as yeaterday when driving in the cold evening I hit fuel cut point, when I didnt have a single issue in the warmth of day??

Today the cars been faultless in the DAYTIME, And as is by magic, this evening, the same road and the same time - spooky! I hit fuel cut again!

SO, CAn anyone give me a definate answer as to the settings on the HKS FCD's, As I have now lowered the setting to 7, And after a blast in the car I didnt hit fuel cut, Although I couldnt get a stern boost load, as it just span on boost,

Is the FCD allowing me MORE boost when I Up or lower the settings inline with the digits 1-12??

Im miffed, as I bet I will hit the gas tomorrow on the same road, same time etc etc... and hit fuel cut!

Im running approx 13.5 psi

Sooooo annoying!

Regards, Chris

Genuine Rev 2 ?

If you're sure it isn't overboosting and the fuel cut is playing up, map sensor on the rear next to the diagnostic port, disconnect it and plug it.

This will prevent fuel cut because its a pig on the Rev 1/2's... What this will also mean, the boost gauge wont be working.

No adverse affects to fuelling / ignition control on the Rev 1/2's engines. :thumleft:
