After months of neglect......pic heavy

Post by gazrev1tubby »

The first decent day of the year inspired me to get the hose out, and treat the old girl to a bit of tlc.

The winter months hadn't been kind, and she was looking sorry for herself. A few hours of elbow grease, and she's back fighting fit again :thumleft:

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend.........

Wow, that car is the best looking mr2 I have seen. Don't know much about body kits. What spats, skirts, rear spoiler centre section are those? And where does that F40 engine cover come from? Could only dream about affording to get mine like that.

Thanks buddy, the spats and skirts are both border, the rear spoiler centre is autopista, the front bumper is a rogue revision 6 (unfortunately discontinued) - but it's pretty much a copy of a border bumper, with a twist :) The f40 engine lid is through a friend of mine :)

It's taken 9 years to get it how I want it, and styling is very much a personal thing. The car was standard when I bought it, and has gone through various guises over the years - but this look is the one I like best :thumleft:

Can rear lights without the amber bits be bought? Looks awesome. Mine is a rev 2 with the older lights. Everyone seems to prefer rev3 rears but I definitely don't.

I used to have the rev3 rear lights, but I actually went back to the earlier ones recently, as I prefer them :thumleft:

I tinted the amber portions on mine, with red tailight tinting spray - about 4 coats. Then I used yellow glass paint on clear indicator bulbs, to make them still flash orange ;)

Lowered 25mm rear on eibach springs, 30mm front with roc springs, currently on yellow bilstein shocks

Very very nice, I'm a sucker for a black on black 2. :D 8)

I prefer Rev 3 lights but got to say it pulls off Rev2's nicely, maybe it's due to you having the red instead of amber corner light. :thumleft:

Lovely, I can only dream of having a 2 like that... when I get another one.
