Can anyone tell me the diameter of a standard Mk1b rear ARB?

Thanks

My -89 has 19 mm front and 13 mm rear. FWIW, on track they feel a bit too small in diameter.

I thought rear ARB's came in 10,12 and 14mm. If you say its 13mm i would guess its actually 12mm but just rusty. Fronts are all 18mm i believe.

Very possible - I measured both with vernier caliper after trying to get rid of the stuff on the surface. Could well be 18 and 12 on mine.

While on the subject:

Thanks for the tip. They appear to be out of stock, I'm afraid. :(

You may find Fensport are their UK's exclusive dealer. I could be wrong.

A Mk2 Mr2 rear ARB is a good cheap upgrade.

Rev1 or 2 bars work very well, use Mk1 front brackets with them :thumleft:

I agree.

If you havn't got any mk1 front mounts its not too challenging to knock some up yourself, I used 2mm stainless plate.

A very cheap and effective upgrade, cost me £0 in total.

Their actual freight cost on tires was exactly what they advertised - I got my Hankooks from them. Need some financial arrangements first, though.

Would be good to know whether they would actually be an improvement over the originals.

well 20/18mm over 19(18)/12(13)mm should make a considerable difference. probably not so much for the front as it will do for the rear.

i am not sure about the size of the mk2 ARBs and whether the mk2 front is interchangeable as well as the rear is.

I have a 19mm rear ARB on my Mk1 and it's chuffin brilliant.

I'd keep the front ARB stock, it's plenty thick enough I reckon.
