Quick advice please - Speedo/Clocks?

Post by rs007 »

Jut after a quick bit of clarification here :)

I grabbed a UK set of clocks off ebay, buyer said it was from a 98' car.

However, apart from the fact it could only have been packed worse had they wrapped it in actual gravel rather than the single layer of bubble wrap and then brown paper that they did, I think it is the wrong clocks?

It appears that the speedo is cable driven? Small spindle on the reverse, square hole in centre, when you turn it, speedo needle moves?

Is this right - I was under impression Rev2 onward was electronic?

Could you guys give me a yay or nay ASAP before I unleash internet hell on his beee-hind.

Well, leave him bad feedback, at least

Yep, rev 1 is 89-91 I think.

It might be a mistake they were off a car that was imported in 98 but if they are UK clocks then I presume they are from a UK car.

Complain away :thumleft:

G-Limited is JDM so it is probably an import.

ave you actually contacted the seller for an explanation or is the seller just getting negative feedback before having the chance to rectify the issue, bad packing however is not on

Calm down, calm down

:D

No feedback as of yet - I'm not a hasty man - messaged expressing my umbrage, lets see what he says.

Carp packaging is indisputable tho.

Got it really cheap tho, so I'm not going to lose too much sleep over it :)

they have probably used the date when it was first registered in the uk. thats if it is an import. Someone could of already changed the clocks on the import to the uk ones.
Why go straight when you can go sideways :)
