[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev2 to Rev3 ECU Conversion PAS wiring

Post by BTWW »

Just done a Rev 3 ECU conversion on my Rev 2 turbo. Have re-pinned my Rev 2 loom. Every works great except for the PAS.

Does anybody know what wiring has to be changed to get this working? Have done a search and Rogue mentioned that there is a wiring change but didn't say which wire it was. ](*,)

Yeah just need to sort my error codes 21 and 52 now.

I know that 21 is because I only have a single wire O2 sensor. A little worried about the knock sensor though as I thought they were the same between Rev's 2 and 3.

Had no error codes before the swap.

They are, pin 13 on the 16 pin plug. Definetely not interfered with in error? Might be worth checking continuity.

Not to my knowledge. On that plug I've moved the PIM from 5 to 2, moved the FPR to 16, and run wiring for the MAT to 9 and 10. The IAT uses the THA and E2 wiring from the original MAF cable.

Will check I've not loosened anything tomorrow. Where's best to check for continuity between? Pin 13 and the knock sensor? Or pin 13 and ground?

Pin 13 is the signal so from that pin to the terminal inside knock sensor plug.

hello I just do the same thing as you, but I have a problem the car is unable to pass the 6000 rpm! the switch as it had been moved to 6000! and there is smoke white / gray out the exhaust.

Finally had chance to get under the car and check this while I was changing my oil.

I have continuity between pin 13 and the knock sensor plug.

Guessing this means my knock sensor is naff and somehow my old ecu just didn't notice :?
