Post by andrewgt »

I seen a topic on b4 but cant find it now about how the side vents cum off as im trying to take them off now ( have the 1 bhind the seat balt off and the 2 in the archs off) is ther any more or what?

Im tryin to get my 93 mk2 moon roof preped for painting the under side and figured im as well taking the bumpers and vents off as i c a bit of rust starting to appear in the vent.

Any info on the bumpers as well will b apperated?

Never had the rear bumper off, took the front off once, never again!!!

It's not difficult technically, it just takes ages and there are a million screws and fixings, some of which will have rusted away and won't come off without cutting (ones attaching under trays).

From memory, you've got the two bits of moulding on the side of the bumper, with two-three bolts beneath there. There is then the bolts on the 'top' of the bumper where it meets the bonnet, as well as the wheel arch cowls.

My '2 came with an aftermarket bumper, though. So this may not be accurate...
