[Mk2] [NA] Clutch problem please help!!

Post by richard1984 »

Please help!!!

My car has a weird clutch problem???

I can press the clutch to the floor but clutch will not disengage fully I can turn off the car start it again and then it works fine I left the clutch pedal jammed down well over 24 hours to see if it will self-bleed in case there was air in the lines it did work for 2 whole days then back to square one

Could this fault be a slave / master cylinder?

When the clutch is working u can heard a small squeak from the clutch area when it’s not working silence????

Will never happen.

Most likely. If you hook the pedal up with your foot, and then press the pedal, does it feel normal on the downward stroke?

If so, master or slave cylinder.

Slave or master cylinder seal gone.

Might as well change both whilst at it. About £20 per kit.
