News from Austria!

Post by MrDrabke »

Hello everybody!!!

My name is Frederic and i come from Austria!
I´m 30 years old and work at a Toyota dealer.
I own a white MR2 MK1 1989 T-Roof.

I bought the car about 3 years ago. When i bought it there was only one owner before and in very good condition with no rust. All things were stock, only the rims were different.

In the three years i`ve done a lot of things. Exterior and interior.
Also the engine.
I´ve made an engineswap to 3SGE Gen3 with 175HP from the Toyota Celica GT.
I´ve no spoilers or things like that, only nice Ronal Turbo rims and sportsuspension. I´d like to keep the car clear without any spoilers or things like that.

I only have to wait until i can post pictures from my car.

Greetings from Austria (not australia :D )

I´ve made an engineswap to 3SGE Gen3 with 175HP from the Toyota Celica GT

I built one of those a few years ago using exactly the same engine, we found it a tad disappointing to be honest compared to its bigger brother turbo version, which takes the same effort to fit.

Good news is it should be a drop in swap to go 3s-gte for you now.

This is the one i built...

I'd love to see pics of yours :thumleft:

Hey, yes, mine looks like this. But i dont cut the back for the engine, i mean the wall to the room where the ecu is.
hope i can post pictures soon......
yes, the turbo is only plug and play now, but i want a SUPERCHARGER \:D/ \:D/
I´ve also got other nice things. Like my oilcooler in the room of the vent.

 Neighbours as in the Australian TV program.

Welcome to IMOC MrDrabke. If you put up the links for your pics with a space somewhere in the link to break it up I can edit your post and make them 'live'. :thumleft:

Some of the european countries have rules where you can't upgrade the engine past a certain % of original power. NO idea if Austria is one of them, but it could be the reason. But I do agree Paul, if your putting a 3s in there, may as well be a turbo.

I couldnt see that coming :D

here in Slovakia, engine swaps are alowed only as long as you keep it within the same engine type and displacement (no 4AGE for 3SGTE, not even 4A for 7A or 4A for other 1600 engine. you may only do 4AGE for other 4AGE swaps) which is quite frustrating

Paul Woods will be leaving for a different planet if they try that sort of trick in the UK

Come to think of it I wonder why they do allow it here :?

Yeah that's probably the real reason Alex

Despite the constant wittering about speeding, dangerous driving & saving the planet
