Tweeters and blue box in the door

Post by Steve-O 2007 »

just wondering is the clear Blue box in the door of the MR2 that connects to the speaker and tweeter a standard toyota item? Looks like it splits the audio signal.

Are these standard or has it been added with my cars sound system? (Pioneer speakers etc)

It has foam around the outside of it as well

Can't think of any OEM blue box in door. Sounds like an aftermarket crossover to me.

thanks

looks like the tweeters are aftermarket as well then as mine are different to that picture I posted.

Looks like the crossover box's and speakers were put in in japan as the labeling on the wires is all in japanese :thumleft:

The turbo models have different tweeters than their N/A EU counterparts (three brackets as opposed to the N/A's two), however. the blue box you mention sounds like an aftermarket item.
