Saw someone who had a red mk1b, black interior plus red mats. Loud colours might be interesting. Seen any?

( but when they get muddy, the effect might be spoiled? )

they would be nice for show and summer but in these muddy weathers, just want a black pair close to oem as possible...don't want to pay the earth either!

There are IMOC ones, see the shop. Can't remember whether they are MK2 specific or not.

Hello,

I ordered mine at tworus.com (US site). They are 80$ + 50$ shipping costs but they are good quality.
The only disadvantage is that the white lettering becomes gray/dirty very quick.

I recently got a pair off ebay for about £26 inc. postage and was quite surprised at how good they were. A good fit and reasonable finish. Matched in quite well against the OEM under carpet. Here's what I got...

Those look OK Andy

At that price think I may get a set to pop in for road use

No carpets in my car at the mo

They are not 'home made', they are MK1a doorcards!

Here's a pic of my old MK1a doorcard:

Ahhhh ! Quite a lot of small differences between a & b models Lauren

Think I prefer the card in your pic to the ones on my car :)

@ CecilWard: Thanks a lot! :D

As Lauren says, those are 1a doorcards. The only minor thing is that the previous owner drilled big holes in it to put some horrible Clarion speaker...And of course he did have to cut some metal out of the door itself to fit the enormous magnet of the speakers!

I personally hated the doorcards in my Mk1a - they felt so poorly made and rattly. I swapped them for Mk1b cards instead.

Also I couldn't rest my elbow/arm on the top of Mk1a cards either.

They fit very well apart from an exaggerated curve on the passenger side mat on the right. Drivers side is perfect and fits well without slipping forward.

I'd order a set from UK Ebay in a heartbeat but those mats are mirror images of what I need for my LHD car. :( Unless they can be installed upside down.

Do you know if mats for any other Toyota car model would be close fit in an MR2, say Corolla, Starlet etc.?
