Re: Help with wheel offset
Should be fine.
215/40/17 up front and 235/40/17 at the rear, unless your arches have been pulled/rolled and then you can go for a 245/255
Stock suspension? May need spacers if on coilies

and do you think the offset would be ok ?? anyone any thoughts please
Re: Help with wheel offset
Sorry thought I was clear, yess offset is fine.
I had bbs lm in those sizes with a 35 offset, front is tight but fits with the right tyre(215/40) rear there's loads of clearance to the strut.
38 will be closer to the arch than 35 but only 3mm
Rear tyre size is dependant on whether your arches are rolled as above.
Is your suspension standard?

Re: Help with wheel offset
hi sorry, to be honest not really sure what the offset is !!! i presumed it was where the wheel fits on the hub,yes its a standard set up suspension and arches arnt rolled
what size wheels do you have at the moment and what brand of tyres and sizes, i have found the standard 15 inch are a pain to get tyres that will fiit both front and rears, especailly as i dont like to mix the tyres
thanks again and sorry if dopey questions

Re: Help with wheel offset
I've got 15x6.5 Grass HS 5Spoke JDM wheels. 195/50 front, 225/50 rear.
I managed to get a set of OEM Yoko A022's for the rear, but they are unfortunately no longer available. Sucks as they are a damned good tyre.
I do not want T1rs on the rear as they're too soft in the sidewall, so will likely try and find a set of 16" rims which will massively increase the choice of available tyres.
Re: Help with wheel offset
Yes those are weaksauce offsets. It will fit fine.
Re: Help with wheel offset
well i am looking at buying a set of Blitz 03 wheels partly because i always liked them and also because i am limited by the standard 15 inch wheel as to which tyre i can use, i always ran Bridgestone s02, ok i dont use the car often and its been put away for a few years but i was happy with the tyre but since they are no longer around it seems real hard to find a good tyre, everyone has there own opinion but there doesnt seem a definite winner on the tyre front either in 15 inch or 17 inch wheels.
