Alloy Radiators

Post by Draven »

Has anyone had any experience with these? My rad has a hole in it pretty sure a stone flicked up and pierced it.

So It needs replacing. now there are these on ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-MR2-SW ... 1c20132edc

I'm wondering if they are any good? To me they look ok although the sensor hole is blocked off is this important?

Then there is the ones MR2-ben does

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-EXTRA-COO ... 3f0b370462

Which i'm more comfortable with trusting so what are peoples thoughts.

When my rad goes down, I'll be replacing with an alloy item and twin spal fans :thumleft:

I think i'm sold on the alloy idea.. because it weighs less than half of the standard one but which one do you think is better..?

The top ebay one there is 100% alloy but has the sensor blocked over.. Mr2 ben's one has a Alloy core and mild steel tanks either side.. I'm leaning towards Mr2 ben's one.. I just don't know. 8-[

i've got this one (same as mr2-ben's one), shame they set the bleed valve in the wrong place so you can use the pipes to bleed it like stock #-o

 I'm not sure I can warrant £400.. I'll have a look at the Mr2-ben one when it arrives on monday.
