Wheel colour choice?

Post by south_wales_MR2 »

Hi there,

I've got a set of Modia Keiichi Tsuchiya RS-05 16" Alloys that have been prepped ready for spraying. They were designed by the Drift guru himself.

P.C.D 5x114.3
Fronts are 16x7j +28
Reas are 16x8j +35

I'm torn between a few different colours to have them sprayed in before being sold.

I think they originally only came in either white or silver (not 100% sure) but thought about maybe SMG or similar.

They are going to go one colour, toy'ed with the idea of red lips etc. but think they would look better all one colour.

They have Toyota centre caps not the originals so might just do the Toyota badge in red to give a bit of colour.

Will be having them sprayed in the next week.

I have no idea how much they're worth as they're quite rare wheels. They are lighter than a Nun's guff, with Japanese stamps all over them. I've tried to get Modia centre caps but its impossible!

What do you guys think?

3E5 Super Red. Not looking to fit them to my car, probably going to be selling as I don't have room to keep them anymore

TBH I would paint them to suit what the seller appeal dictates. If you do the red lip and centre caps then owners with yellow or blue cars will not show much interest. However, plain silver or SMG has a mass appeal, can be modded by the new owner and will also be cheaper.
