[Mk2] [Turbo] Blitz de-cat

Post by vmaxnick »

Sorry if this has been covered before, I've tried a search but can't seem to find a search term that filters out irrelevant stuff!

I have a Blitz cast Iron de-cat system which I would like to fit to my Mk 2 rev 1 turbo.

I have a mongoose ss exhaust fitted. As far as I can tell, I have lambda sensors after the cat too. what if anything do I need, to fit the blitz. I am asuming that the ecu will need to be fooled into thinking the cat is still there, otherwise won't the ems play a merry dance?
Advice very welcome :?

the sensor in the CAT is the temperature sensor, that isn't really used if you have no CAT! Just tie it up and it will be fine, you should have a lambda sensor in the actual exhaust manifold above the turbo, that's the one that talks to the ECU

Sensor

The Blitz decat should have a tapped hole that will take the temp sensor. Mine did and the rev 2 sensor just screwed in
