Hi
I bought a blitz bov off a member on here, looking at fitting it tonight, but I was wondering what to do with the pipe that goes from the recirc valve back to before the turbo? Do you just block it off?
I know rev1/2 turbos can have issues with BOV due to AFM etc, but some people dont notice any difference so id like to give it ago, if it runs like sh*t then ill swap back.
Thanks

just block it off, also, i have a rev 2, runs like crap with my apexi BOV, runs fine with hks, but runs exceptionally smooth with a baileys feels like the stock recirc is still in place

i have to different HKS BOV
1 HKS Super Blow off valve
1 HKS SSQV Bov
both run fine on the REV2 TUBBY..
you can block the pipe off with a coca cola lid bottle

i have mine blocked off using the lid from a bottle of Ted Baker aftershave, but people use lots of different things champagne corks, end of a broom handle etc etc
I kept it OEM & used a spare Toyota wheel nut!
Edit to add: I've now got a rev1 engine in this mk1.5 and it's got an aftermarket BOV on it. It runs fine, but you can def tell it's not right at just under 2.5 -3k rpm until boost is reached again to cover air lost from dumping. I've now got a stock recirc to put back on as soon as I get chance.

Right, having a few issues, the bov seems to be too heavy for the bolt so its not making a tight seal at the top? Is the orange O ring meant to be tucked inside the pipe? From the pic below can you tell me which pipe from the inlet manifold needs to attach to the BOV? as there were 2 previously.
Many thanks for your help!
Ignore the multi coloured pipes, it was done by the previous owner haha.
it should make a perfect seal when tightened, only thing i think you could do would bt to find a shorter bolt, or cut a few mm of the original, there shouldn't be a gap at the top at all, i have an aftermarket fitting kit and it fits perfectly, as does the original
