Free to a good home - A/C compressor

Post by ulysess1966 »

I was going to sell this, then take it to the dump, but if anyone wants it...

It's the A/C compressor out of my '88 SC. It is just the compressor 2 flexible pipes and the mounting bracket, none of the other stuff has been removed from the car (yet). It was working 100%, but I never saw the point in A/C in a T-bar (if it is warm, take the roof off) and figured the car could do without the extra weight.

The downside for most of you is that I live in Northern Ireland, but I don't mind shipping it if we can arrange that.

Very generous offer. However, I'm really after a condenser if you get to remove that.

Condenser

Andy

Later in the summer I'm going to try and get the pipework under the car and the condenser and ancilliaries out and if I manage it I'll let you know and you can have what you need.

All the best

Cheers, Glenn. Really appreciate that. I've got a tin top so non-working aircon isn't great and my specialist thinks it requires a new condenser. Happy to give you money as well as shipping if your looks OK.

Hey chap
I have a brand new aircon condensor here for a MK1 MR2, if you need one. I bought it for mine but stripped out the aircon in the end.
Not wanting to tread on any toes, but it's in my garage and can go out straight away, PM me if interested (sadly cannot offer it free though!).

I'd like to take the AC unit - trying to build up a bit of a spare parts store for my SC - what are you doing with the rest of the car?

Driving it :)

I removed the A/C compressor to save some weight and make it easier to work under the engine.

You can have it stew. I was only taking it to keep as a spare, but mine works fine so I will pass on it since yours is on the way out.

Uly....good news, glad its not going to the scrapper!
