Post by JDM-MAT »

The offset of a vehicle's wheel is the distance between the centerline of the wheel and the plane of the hub-mounting surface of the wheel. It can thus be either positive or negative, and is typically measured in millimeters.

Image

Positive
The hub mounting surface is toward the front or wheel side of
the wheel. Positive offset wheels are generally found on front
wheel drive cars and newer rear drive cars.

Zero Offset
The hub mounting surface is even with the centerline of the
wheel.

Negative
The hub mounting surface is toward the back or brake side of
the wheels centerline.

Its very dirty so will have to clean them up, the back tyre size are 255/45 zr17 and fronts 236/45 zr17. I think they will be huge on a mk2 mr2

Not all wheels have offset info but most do. Give one a good scrub up and see :)

Mine are 17x8 ET35 with 215/40 up front, and 17x9 ET38 with 245/35.

Roll the rear and you can get some big tyres on, 255 is common on the rear but fronts would need changed regardless of offset i would think. See if you can see the fitments and i'm sure some wheel guru's will help with fitment. They helped me anyway! 8)

40 235 will fit (may be coilover only though)

45 will not in the front

offset will be a bit out about 5mm if it is from supra, (supra use 45 profiles)
