MR2 will only start on full battery...

Please help!!

My MR2 has pretty much been stood since the big freeze in November. Since getting her running I have noticed a new problem.

She will start fine when the battery is fully charged but as the time passes she takes longer and longer to fire untill a few days pass and she will just turn untill the battery finally dies.

She runs fine when she is actually going.

Do I need a new coil pack?

Is it a new battery, you could be ready for a new one

Its pretty new and a good make but the winter might have killed it. I'm gonna take her to my local garageand see what they think.

Strange, they are normally very good starters, I have taken a battery from another car that wouldnt start due to a flat battery and put it on my 2 and it started.

Get the starter motor checked too.

No issues with the starter as she turns quickly. Defo an electrical issue as I can smell petrol when she doesnt fire. I agree with the fast starter as she normally fires on the first turn.. anoying!
