[Mk2] [NA] fitting rev3 centre panel to rev 2

Post by deg61 »

Hi all just bought rev3 rear lights and centre panel. Question is do i need some brackets to fit the centre? Or do i take them off the old panel?

is this a replacement rev 3 panel for a rev 3? Or is this a conversion for a rev 1 or 2?

The rev3 center panel has an L shaped black bracket either side that is used to bolt the panel to the car.

There are no brackets to transfer from the early panel to the rev 3.

you will also need to dent the rear panel (the metal behind the plastic centre panel) to clear the lights in the centre panel, the rev3+ shells have these indentations already done at the factory of course.

you will also need a longer key, the rev 2 lock sits miles in the hole, the rev3 lock sits flush with the inside of the panel :thumleft:

Very easy to find. Toyota still sell them and are £7-£8 each
