Post by raptor95GTS »

just checking the prices of the kits for my rev3 tubby and the US site lists the 93+ mk2 for 105 USDollars yet the uk site is 157 UKpounds.

Is it ok to buy the US kit cause it will do the same job or will I be forced to buy the UK stuff?

UK stuff

US stuff

cheers folks

Import tax doesn't apply under a certain level IIRC and the guys at twosrus don't put the price you paid on the label. When I ordered a set of droplinks the value on the pack was stated at about $60 (price I paid was $100)!

Nice :D

i took delivery of my 2srus prothane bush kit last week, even though it cost me $150 all in including the shipping the parcel had a value of $100 on it to prevent any import charge, now thats customer service. The bush kit itself is of the highest quality, quite frankly it makes a mockery of fensport who charge double for the same thing....its a joke that it costs half including 4000 miles delivery. Now why arent they available in the Uk for that price?

Cant praise 2srus enough, quality components and a quality service.

so the 93+ kit will fit my rev3. The only reasono I ask is that I'm not sure of the model variances in the US hence the (could be) obvious question

Paul, I know you said you were well impressed with the mk1 kit which is why I went looking for the mk2 kit :D

Sorry to hear about the roofs Paul, hope you get it sorted and back on your feet again quickly

Yep the 93+ kit should fit your rev3,i dont recall there being any suspension differences between USDM and JDM cars.

I was thinking of getting one of their kits. Only thing is, aren't the anti roll bars different diameters on various mkIIs? Its just that fensport do 17, 18 and 19mm kits and I know my ARBs are 18.4mm.
So I think it might be pot look to get the ARB bushes to fit your car.

yup that's exactly the problem I don't want to run into. 18.4mm? so is that the 18mm kit or the 19mm?

Yup ... but that applies to everything Paul. The prices net of VAT on fennies site are about the same as the dollar figure you can buy goods from the states for. With a dollar rate of 1.8 - 1.9 to the £ its still waaayy cheaper importing and paying the duty lol! Having said that, if you need something asap atleast you can buy it over here.

steve, very true mate, spose we should be grateful they are at least available!

kev the mk1a bar is hardly worth having its that weedy, add 20 years of rust to one and they look pencil thin.

lauren maybe you can fill me in,in the non punch in the face sense,...why do some superchargers come without a rear ARB at all?? ive seen this on a few of them now.

Basically in Japland, they get a lower spec when it comes suspension, they also don't have oil coolers either.

They handle like a dog without the rear ARB. Mark's 87 SC is without the rear bar. Was understeertastic.

From 88 onwards SCs came with a rear ARB.

Yep, i bought mine last week and cant wait to get them dropping through the post, David Hawkins ( two's r us ) is a superb and trusted dealer of all MR2 stuff, i bought loads of bits from him since finding the site & they always arrive in super quick time, normally in 4-5 days !!, always wrapped very well & the price is always much more competetive to that of the same parts in the U.K. Ive said it before, Fensport are very pricey & unless the change their pricing policy soon they will lose the custom of the grass roots mr2 owner .... but they dont seem to be that worried as long as they can sell parts to the 350 plus BHP brigade  , Jinxy

so what we are saying is that any bar is better than the mk1a. is it just a matter of swapping it to a late one including the bushes?
