as above - changing clutch this weekend - need a guide so i dont forget anything

I used the Haynes manual, its quite a simple job really if you have a lift.

Do you recomend doing it you don't have one? Clutch is starting to go on mine and rather ly on the floor for 2 days instead of paying a shop to do it for me.

i just dropped the engine out to do it on mine, tho i changed the gearbox also as it was wrecked. not too hard to get the gearbox off tho without removing engine, just a pig to refit it if youre on your own..

I got a more suitable answer from the mk1 club thanks with a link provided.

You're crazy to want to drop the engine out just to do the gearbox.

I'm doing it tomorrow. should take 8 hrs.
