leeking coolant

I picked up this MR2 a few months back, knowing she had a few problems

my clutch has gone in flames, and she also had a blown radiator.

rad has been replace with a brand new one and 50/50 coolent mix.

on way to shops i was revving the engine just a little bit then lost drive. no more clutch

then she desided to blow water all over the floor to the rear. sicne ive got her home ive topped up the system but not sure if i have leek yet.

any idea where i should be looking

If it’s at the rear of the car then check the rubber hoses coming off the main radiator pipes that run underneath the car, next check the rubber hoses that come off of the heater pipes, all these pipes are located at the rear of the engine, chances are you may have a split etc, if no leak can be found there then take the centre under trays off the bottom of the car where the fuel tank lies and see if you see any dripping coming from there after the engine is hot and the cooling system is fully pressurized as this could also be the heater pipes cracked as well, usually you instantly know as the under trays are wet when you take them off and the fuel tank is covered in coolant

Oh and make sure the coolant system is bleed properly because if it’s not then serious trapped air will push coolant out the engine into the expansion bottle and the more revving you do the more you heat up the coolant so the more it expands forceing coolant into the expansion bottle resulting in your bottle over flowing on the floor, this was happening to my 2 when the heater pipes were fecked as air was getting in though the cracks in the heater pipes
