Air leaking when i accelerate. Pipes are all fine. What could it be?

Post by pez »

Hi all,

One day i was driving and notived that when i accelerate i can hear hissing sound as if the BOV is letting air out. I have checked the pipes and i can not see anthing unusual. At the moment when i accelarate or de-accelerate i get the hissing sound.

In terms of power, the car if fine and no loss of power but a little less responsive ( i think).

I have a HKS BOV of the car.

Thanks,
Pez

Had you done anything to the induction side immediately before starting to hear the noise, ie fitting of the BOV? Have you actually taken each of the hoses off and checked them rather than just looking while insitu?

Stand above your engine, and pull the throttle cable.

Hear, feel where it could be coming from.
Some air-leaks can't be seen. So perhaps just for safety re-tighten the clamps.
