Has anybody purchased gaskets off this ebay seller??

Post by RyanRs »

I need a top end set which is £125 at my local toyota -a complete rip-off ,especially considering the whole engine set is £144 !

I found this on ebay :-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %26otn%3D2

im guessing its a genuine toyota kit? I have asked the seller and am awaiting a reply.

Has anybody had experience with this kit or seller?

Thanks :thumleft:

Yes I bought that very set but only used the exhaust manifold, turbo and downpipe gaskets when I changed my turbo worked fine no problems. Don't think its genuine Toyota but is good quality.

Well tbh bud, looking at the pic of the kit, i only need the valve stem seals and intake gasket! I may need a head gasket but have to double check as i may have one somewhere already.

How much would you accept for the V-stem seals & intake gasket? and how much extra if i was to have the head gasket too?

Btw, you couldnt get a pic up of the v-stem seals could you? i just wana check that they supply the correct ones as they should be different colours / sizes for exhaust / intake valves.

thanks bud :thumleft:

Hi I would sell all the gaskets that are left for 35 pounds delivered if you are changing the valve stem oil seals you will need the cam cover gasket and it would be a good idea to change the camshaft oil seals as well. The head gasket in this kit is a steel one also. Will try and get pics up later.

Well tbh my cam cover gasket is fine, its only about 3k miles old since i rebuilt the engine and i have had the cover off a few times now too, suppose i could use the cam seals being as the cams will have to come out.

The only thing that worries me about the head gasket in that kit is the quality as i need to maintain my exact CR as the engine has been built around this for tuning reasons. I know the stock toyota HG is the correct thickness and quality to do the job and not fail when i start hitting high HP numbers!
