[Mk2] [NA] Starter motor relay location

Post by AnThoMan »

Hey all,

My car has (3 times) immobolised itself, the latest being last night in the middle of nowhere.

The tow truck guy started the car after applying live to the starter motor. I'm thinking the starter motor relay may have gone.

Could anyone point me in the direction of its location? Pain in the bum not having a Haynes manual..as useless as they are most of the time haha.

Cheers,

Andrew

starter relay is in the rear in the boot. Behind the cover that u look at as u look in the boot lol if that makes sense

mine did the same not long ago, check the earth conection to the starter relay, mine lost it and from one or two posts on here its happened to a few people.

I sorted mine out by just splicing in a wire and bolting it to the body where the starter bracket is mounted
