I'd go black if I was going smooth but I do prefer above anything the UK panel with the thin horizontal bar as in your last pic.
I've only seen the el-glo badges for the import rear valances with the thicker centre horizontal bar-where did you get one to match your grille?
Ive only seen them in this style
,the badges for the twin bar panel fit differently?and i didnt know the import had a thicker single bar
?
I like the look of them but they're a bit pointless, plod pulls folk up here for illuminated stuff like that so not worth the risk.

The sanding down was an excellent idea
did you laquer them after the sanding?

I think the yanks are into this-think they call it
"shaving"
-they like removing all the OEM moulding marks on everything.
Wolfie struggled to sell the lenses at the time he was offering them-usual story, folk want them but don't want to pay.

Must admit I bought a set but afterwards they didn't look right on my colour of car
-also a fairly intrusive way of fitting them.

They look better on cars with the USDM red corner triangles.
.
.
.Still never saw an el-glo badge for the thin rear panel before yours
-they've all been for the thicker one.

Collecting info on rear bars at the moment.
Have you kept or ditched the rear lower vallance/ grill though
(it's different in your various pics)
-man I still think MR2 rear ends look so much more finished with that black vallance still in place.
