Haha Mazda or GTO... dejavu.

Personally, I think the red is very different, and yes, it is similar to the MAZDA, but then again, it makes it look very different.

I prefer the red than the cliche carbon fiber...

Personally I do not think the carbon matches your car.

God the one in your original 3rd pic is awful -the one with the 3 horizontal ridges (what the hec is that?). I'd go black if I was going smooth but I do prefer above anything the UK panel with the thin horizontal bar as in your last pic.

I've only seen the el-glo badges for the import rear valances with the thicker centre horizontal bar -where did you get one to match your grille? I like the look of them but they're a bit pointless, plod pulls folk up here for illuminated stuff like that so not worth the risk.

Its an Autopista,I agree it looks better off the car, I'd go black if I was going smooth but I do prefer above anything the UK panel with the thin horizontal bar as in your last pic.

Ive only seen them in this style ,the badges for the twin bar panel fit differently?and i didnt know the import had a thicker single bar ? I like the look of them but they're a bit pointless, plod pulls folk up here for illuminated stuff like that so not worth the risk.

No mate ,all ive done is wet and dried them and polished them up ,i did spray tint the bottom strip with black though ,
Im going to give them another clean now they are fixed with the polishing mop ,bit flimsy when they are off the car you cant get any pressure on them

Wow that's good for a bit of wet and dry and a polish :D Look's sweet matey :thumleft:

I'll try mine one day i tried to tint them black what a failure that turned out to be as someone had used laquer on them and the tint reacted badly so bought another set of lights so when i have the courage to have another go i'll sand that off

CheeRS for info mate. 8)

I think the yanks are into this -think they call it "shaving" -they like removing all the OEM moulding marks on everything.

Wolfie struggled to sell the lenses at the time he was offering them -usual story, folk want them but don't want to pay. Must admit I bought a set but afterwards they didn't look right on my colour of car -also a fairly intrusive way of fitting them. They look better on cars with the USDM red corner triangles.

...Still never saw an el-glo badge for the thin rear panel before yours -they've all been for the thicker one. Collecting info on rear bars at the moment.

Have you kept or ditched the rear lower vallance / grill though (it's different in your various pics) -man I still think MR2 rear ends look so much more finished with that black vallance still in place.

I sent Wolfie my lights to make his first set, in exchange for a set done fitted them on my black car and i didn't think they looked right
so sold them on .
I then had a set of the rev 3 and i didn't think they suited the car either so sold them on,

This set came with the car ,and seem to go better with the red corners and white reverse lights?

I thought there were only two types of rear panel ,the single bar and the twin bar ,didn't know they also came with a thicker single bar ,

I did read that the twin bar was only available on one particular year ,some sort of commemorative thing ?

The previous owner had bent up the grill (first picture) i prefer the grill down ,so i bent it back and meshed it to match the front bumper
