Cheers lads! :thumleft:

Well, where do i start!

1st run of the day, started on R888 street tyres. Launched ok but then it stuttered all the way down the track. Got back to the pits and checked for problems. Found one of my coil power supplys had come loose so was running on 3 cylinders. Fitted new plugs and went back out.

2nd run on street tyres again, went to the 1/8th ok then noticed oil spraying over my rear window. I'd added a temporary breather off of the oil filler cap and it turns out this is a bad idea as it filled the catch can and sprayed all over! Capped the temp breather and went back out.

3rd run on street tyres, launched and snapped an axle! On street tyres, WTF?

Reason i was trying to run on street tyres was because i was hoping to give my friend a passenger ride, and your only allowed to on street tyres.

So....Fitted a new driveshaft, fitted the slicks and headed back out for the 4th run. Tried 15psi cold in the slicks. The car was uncontrollable, turning left and right all the way down the strip. coasted through at something like a 12.2@55mph

5th run, put 18psi in the slicks, launched well but then stuttered after that.
Turns out i didnt have enough fuel in the tank! When i fitted the twin walbros, i had to remove some of the tanks baffling to fit the walbro socks/filters, which means i have to run around 3/8-1/2 tank of fuel to stop it sloshing away from the pickup!

6th run, left 18psi in there, did a 2nd gear burnout and launched well with my best 60' of 1.6095, ended up with the 10.3@134mph. I had to feather the throttle in 3rd and 4th as was wandering towards the wall and had to lift near the finish as i was going to be in the wall! I was just hanging on and hoping and praying that i could keep my foot in it, but had to lift! I knew it was a 10, but i was thinking a high 10.9 or something! I was buzzing when my old man told me the time!

So still got some work to do, but im happy we finally got a semi clean run and the ten! As after the problems we'd had, i was thinking it just wasnt going to happen! She doesnt seem to like to make it easy for us!

No i havent mate, could do with one as it would save alot of weight without having to run so much fuel.

But hoping to re-shell the car next year as the old girls very rough, so will sort the tank out then, or maybe do something like roy did with a small fuel tank up front. Luckily its only happened on race fuel, so thats gone a long way to help save the motor when its gone lean! V-power and 2bar might of been different!

When i re-shell it next year i'l more than likely just swap the walbros into the new tank Ant.

They will go in without cutting the baffling.
