Gearbox ratios

Hi All, i have used the search engine on here but i cant find anything that can help me with this question. Are the gearbox ratios in a rev 2 n/a the same as a rev 3 n/a? my car is a rev 3 and it's now at this second having a rev 2 gearbox fitted to it, please tell me that it's okay i know there's an issue with the electronic/mechanical speedo but thats not bothering me at the moment.

I'm pretty sure they do have the same ratios, and the speedo drive won't be an issue as it was only rev1 cars that had a mechaincal speedo drive, rev2+ had electrical

If the casings are the same you're ok. I have a Rev2 turbo, and had to buy a rev3 box to get it to match. There are transition period between all the parts I believe as mine is a late Rev2. It also had the indents in the rear panel for the Rev3 reversing lights.

I think it was rev1 N/A which had a different ratio. It seemed Rev2 had the majority of changes made to it so you should be ok.

great thanks again, i'll hopefully get the car tonight and see for myself if it is a rev 1 box, i'm guessing the ratios are going to be lower :/
