[Mk2] [NA] Replacement Wheel Arch liner

I’m working on getting my MK2 REV2 ready for its MOT, its been off the road for a while and there’s plenty to sort out. I have a few more questions..input would be greatly accepted….input I need input (I did search these and I’m still non the wiser).


I’m welding the rear arches, is there a replacement arch liner available to buy to weld into place? I found a MK1 replacement but no luck with the MK2. I need a O/S/R Liner…I’m really struggling with this one.


Also….

Does the engine need to come out for the cambelt to be replaced?

Dont think there is a replacement inner arch you will need to knock one up to weld in.

Cambelt can be done with engine still in car but will be a pain in the ass. Replace the water pump while your at it. TBH if i was doing mine i would take the engine out as it only takes me 1 1/2 hrs to whip the engine out.

Hmmm..getting no where fast with the replacement arch panel. Cant believe no one makes one

There is loads about for the MK1, must be lots about with the same issue, must be a gap in the market.

Nope not a mechanic, just messed about with cars for the last 26 years and whipped out so many MR2 engines i have forgot how many.

Yep, hardly any replacement parts are produced for the MR2
