Apexi Power Fc question.

Post by james13009 »

Hi all,

I'm think about getting a apexi power fc just a couple of questions i have if any one can help me.

First off the power fc I want has come off a Rev 2, I believe they have to be modified to fit. However I have a rev 3 is the modification reversible what exactly is done to make it fit in first place?

Secondly, I believe it to be already mapped to the prevous car. Are the base maps stored on the unit that i can revert to? Or are they downloadable? as I won't be able to afford to remap for a couple of months after wards?

Thanks James

i think the rev 2 PFC are done by AP performance and wont fit the rev 3 at all

find one that has come off a rev 3 turbo 8) simple plug and play

base maps are crap, dont put it on with out it being mapped to your car and spec

It could be a standard PFC as the prevoius owner could have done a rev3 conversion to their rev2 inorder to run the PFC. If its a standard PFC it will be plug and play on a rev3.

Check which one its is as the AP Engineering PFC will be no good for you.

For mapping i would say get it mapped properly even it it means pluging it in to see if it works then taking it off and leaving it on a shelf somewhere till you get round to getting it mapped. :thumleft:
