[Mk2] [Turbo] How to wire manual aerial

Post by Ren0W »

I want to place a switch in the cabin to manually control the aerial.

I almost never listen to the radio, and don't like that long thing behind on my car, so want it to stay in when not used.

Is it a simple 1 wire to the aerial wire with a simple on/off switch?

My NA's aerial is broken, ie. it won't come out anymore. But, it will still receive signals, so even when the aerial isn't out, I can listen to radio-stations.
I hope this works with my turbo aswell.

Or any other ideas ?

I have put a switch (next to my stereo) in the aerial remote wire to stop the aerial going up unless I want it to.
If you want to use the radio without having the radio up I have fitted little electronic aerials above the rear view mirror stuck to the windscreen.
