Rotor arm screws!

Post by dave_f »

Hi, im changing the dizzy cap and rotor arm atm, got to the rotor arm and both the screws are rounded, looks like somebody has tried to do it before  .

Any suggestions?

I digged up an earlier post on the search and somebody suggested knocking a sharp screwdriver onto there to bite but i dont think it would work in this case, theres nothing to them.

Is it worth breaking the cap apart?

Or removing the distributor completely? If so, how do you mark the timing etc?

Cheers

Also whilst anybody knows, how do you change the fuel filter?

Can't help with the rotor arm. But can't those screws be undone with either a socket OR a philips screwdriver, or is that just the dizzy cap screws?

Fuel filter is pretty easy, here:
