Track day companies

Post by brgbrm »

I was thinking of doing a weekend track day at Goodwood in May at £295, but I've just seen that Focused Events do it at £45 less in April. Anyone any experience of them?

Generally, who likes what track day companies?

my personal preference for trackday companys is javelin trackdays

ive been doing trackdays a few years now and ive not experinced a better service.

its run by people really in to motorsports and were all previously in to rallying and marshalling so when they wernt driving they were helping organising.

so they have seen all sides,

Thanks Lee, I've known about their website for a while but actually been with them yet. They certainly do come across as enthusiastic, and I like the look of some of the venues for car control practice.

hi marc.

i've also used focused events and they were very good. the guy giving the briefing had little sense of humour but the day ran very smoothly.
Also i don't think you'll find better prices!

Book a track have been the most professional outfit i have used.

Things that will affect price are how many people will be on track (i.e. if you need to queue to get on track), open pit lane or sessioned, and day of the week/time of the year.

Personally i would spend a little extra to use BAT over some others.

Thanks everyone for those suggestions! Is anyone else doing Goodwood in April through Focused Events?

i'd say my best track experience was with goldtrack but they're not the cheapest place in the world, msv are good but they dont really restrict entries, its not unusual to have a few hundred grands worth of race cars at their £99 days, javelin have been very good everytime ive used them but ive not done a proper track with them yet, only closed airfield days.

one of my friends does a lot of bike trackdays with focused events and wont here a bad word said about them

Goldtrack was the first track day I did, I went along there thinking there'd be Gold GTIs, BMWs and nails. Not all, it was full of Porsches, Lotuses, Lambos, ferraris - even an F40.

I really like the idea of the airfield days for practising car control.
