Post by 37831999 »

Hi, im a little confussed with the difference in the rev 2 and the rev 3 head, i'm after big power and have a rev 2 head ready to under major surgery. Is it a waste of time modifiying the rev 2 head? or should i try and find a rev 3 head?

Power in isolation would suggest Rev 3

If you change from a Rev2 head to a Rev 3 head you will need to change you manifolds too. Its not going to be the head that give you the power its all the other parts fitted to the engine that will do that.
Please list the parts you want to use and the power you want.

Hi thanks for your help so far! I'm planning on doing the works! Fully forged block, maybe 2.2 conversion? Cam upgrades, valve springs and guides upgrades, fuel injectors, rail and pump etc..... looking at about 700bhp minimum! Didnt know if to do he work on a rev 2 head or a rev 3 head tho
