Re: polyurethane suspension bushes
I got a new set from Rogue
(Prothane) for just over
£110.
Trouble is like most people I fitted them
(well, Luke did at Pacific Works) at the same time as new ball joints and other bits and pieces so difficult to say exactly the difference they made on their own.
Bottom line though with the ball joints as well.

steering is now better, vibrations have gone and there seems to be no down side that I can identify.
Certainly no noisier or harsher.

Change ball joints at the same time

I noticed an improvement after I fitted them, but TBH I thought it made it how it was when I bought the car years earlier.

So I'm not totally convinced it's the poly bushes
- just that it's new bushes.

Anyway, these bushes are probably a lot cheaper than OEM rubber ones from Toyota anyway
(and I'm some ofl the bushes aren't available as seperate items anyway)

Some people complain about them squeaking once fitted, but mine have been completely fine
(fitted nearly 1.5 years ago).

Re: polyurethane suspension bushes
I changed out the bushes on my mk2 race car from standard to polyurethane.
I always describe the difference it made as going from reacting to what was happening instead of what had already happened.
It certainly sharpened up my driving and I found myself able to catch the car on the limit more easily, avoiding, correcting or holding slides more often.

It's worth bearing in mind that the benefit is not just from the change in material, but in the fact that most cars are still wearing the same bushes they came out of the factory with over ten years ago!

Re: polyurethane suspension bushes
Has anyone got a link to a place that sells a good polybush kit?
