[Mk2] [Turbo] Upgrading from passive to active sound system - wiring

Post by acf8181 »

have sourced the amps and subs, and nicely toyota have already cut the holes required in the cubby boxes......now just have to source a wiring loom.....does anyone know if its integrated with the in car loom, or if its a seperate loom?

Also, are the remaining speakers the same on passive and active systems?

The cabin loom is different (i.e. the wiring is integrated into the loom). However if you have the appropriate head unit you can just plug directly from the output on the back of the head unit straight into the 1st amp. IIRC the 2nd amp runs off the 1st one etc.
