[Mk2] [Turbo] Urgent help needed rewiring stereo to standard connector

Post by bluesmoke »

Hi folks. This afternoon I need to do a real fast rewire job, before taking my OH away for her birthday this evening. I don't fancy a 4 hour drive with no music! I'm posting from my phone, so apologies for the lack of paragraphs. My car's had a silly stereo connector fitted so I'm putting it back to standard. The problem is, it has had new wiring connected to the speakers and subs. The sub wires go into the plastic casing on the subs. Are the sub amps in there or have they been bypassed? And will this mean the cables to the speakers bypass the amps too? Where would I find the amps to check?

Amps are located behind the plastic cover, behind the seatbelt :thumleft:
