Yep saw that a T-bar rev5 BEAMS however was Cat-C listed on Hpi and the bodywork was still rough hence the price of £1595 - However has probably sold now as its not on PH anymore. Has been locally owned for the last couple of years.

Re: Beams owners ?
I've got a BEAMS engine sat on a pallet at Rogue HQ - it's most likely going to be built up into a race car for the MR2 Super GT series next year.
Re: Beams owners ?
I'm one -I saw your post on the MR2 board, thought I recognised the name!! welcome to the VVTi club.
...You snuck in on that one quick (bargain for that money)
(EDIT I think it was you anyway LoL -there were loads of red tops made, it's just limited in SW20 form (somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000). Loats of thousands fitted in other cars such as ST202 Celica SSIII's and "Grey tops" which are nearly the same in Rav 4's)

Re: Beams owners ?
Well, I used to have one - A Rev 5 G-Limited in the ultimate colour - Beige Mica
Surprisingly nippy (although tubby owners won't believe you... ) , considering it only has ~25hp more than a Rev 3, but crisp engine response and slight bit of torque, and the LSD just made it a much better car IMHO..
Miss mine, sold to a chap who still frequents MR2OC. I have a Rev 4 now, and thoughts of sourcing a Blacktop 3S-GE (Altezza RS200 engine) and fitting are very tempting..

Yeah, looks to be a few (but not insurmountable) issues, primarily with intake / exhaust manifolds, drivers side engine mount, wiring, and drive shaft clearance... But whether its a realistic (read: economically viable) or not would depend on whether it bolts up to the S54 gearbox (N/A gearbox). It should being a 3S-GE, but I've not been able to find conclusive evidence either way..
Re: Beams owners ?
Just in case you didn't know i bought the beams that was on piston heads ,and it drives great ,
Got a bit of bodywork to sort out and find some rev5 wheels ,but there's no mechanical signs its been in a bump,
Drove well back to Leicester ,(even if the weather was lousy ,couldn't see the cars in front only their lights )
Bumpers coming off tomorrow to see why it doesn't line up right ,and to fix the fog-lights ,ill mesh the bumper while its off as well

Just a few i saved from the original advert for now
Drivers side fog light is not bolted in ,just clipped in
Bonnet is up one side and down the other ,so maybe just needs the rubber feet adjusting
Where the bumper meets the wings needs refitting ,and paint is chipped
Reflector from drivers side fell out ,so was changed for an orange one (I've got another set )
Drivers side bumper strip is broken
Exhaust tailpipe is bent inwards on drivers side ,so needs exhaust changing (I've got a spare)
Boot lid is the same as the bonnet ,up one side down the other ,so i think just needs adjusting as well
Rear spoiler needs paint (its too pink) and the two screws are missing at the leading edge so it sits up slightly
Boot wont open with the key so might have to change that or re pin it
an alarm is fitted but not working and i don't have a key fob for it
stereo is missing and all the fittings
glove box is badly scratched ,and aftermarket gear knob fitted
That's all i know for now until i get a good look round it, oh and the Tbars leak
Re: Beams owners ?
Wow, bit of a bargain there - spend ~£500 on it and you've probably got a car worth nearer ~£4.5k... (depending on mileage..)
