[Mk2] [Turbo] How hard is it to install an aftermarket induction kit?

Post by sw20GTS »

So I am thinking of buying this :

My MR2 now has stock intake. My question is how hard is it to install the linked kit? Do I need any additional tools etc?

I saw the guide to remove the induction kit from the Knowledge Base http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/kb.php?mode=article&k=2 and it looks pretty simple. However, I am wondering if it will be simple to install the kit I wanted? Is everything included in the kit (pipes, clips etc) and finally will there be instructions included?

Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

its a piece of p**s mate.
remove the stock box and resonator(big black lung looking thing from the corner)
remove everything from the induction pipe that goes to the turbo, except the pipe!
replace with your new one, attach the bracket to the bolt underneath and your done.
no more than an hour.
you will need a set of sockets and a few spanners/screwdrivers.
dont forget to plug the air flow sensor back in!
