Right.

I think the front speakers are wired via a cross-over.

find that and your laughing.

Trace the tweeter wire back to it, it may be built into the speakers so the tweeter will be directly wired to the mids.

Not 100% sure.

But if you want to slap some new wires into the door.

.

This is Ricky Lake.

You will need.

.

.

fairy liquid
kniting needle

(thin one or a wire coat hanger)
duct tape
screw drivers
Pliers
thick jumper or jumpsuit
Coldplay CD

First things first, get that coldplay Cd in

(you'll understand when you get mad and here Chris Martins voice calms you back down)

Get the kick panel off and get that plastic skirting off

Get your door card off, guessing you already done this bad boy

What I find is the easiest way to do this is.

.

.

Open the door, you can see a rubber connection pipe

(bung some fairy liquid on either end and prise it up a little so it gets in
Wedge the door open with something heavy( a friend works well here or a little sister

(and not wedged in the gap, you'll get told off))

We need to get one hand in the door and locate the rubber end, be carefull here as they split easily

- Its better to wrap your thumb lightly in duck tape and push gently

(from in side the door) while you have hold of the fattest bit inbetween the door and body

(squeeze and pull into the gap)

Mind your arms on the sharp metal of the doors

(jumper or jumpsuit will save alot of cuts)

It will come out.

Fairy liquid also works very well and will keep cuts clean

The inside one, bit of a mare.

Plugs in the driverside and one on the passengerside.

I found that by removing all the visible screws then pulling on the plastic frame with a pair of mole grips got it out the way

(later found hard to clip back in) Be carefull doing this as the mounting points are flimsier than a 70 year olds p£nis.

You should be able to see the wires comming through from the door.

Unclip the white plug, same process as above but alot lot tighter to get your hand in, you might even get away with pulling the car side plug out and just poking the wire through.

I didnt so had to carry on dismantling.

The other tricky part

(knitting needle/coathanger part)

Get your wireabout 3cm from the end of the impliment

Start wrapping tape

(thinly as possible) from the top, down over your wire

(keep this tight and thin)

I'd go about 4" down, then back up to just before the end of the wire.

Slap some fairy liquid on it

(lube also works good

)

Push it through the rubber tube, carefull not to snag any wires or the tube.

When its through, pull enough wire through.

Do what you need to do with the door wiring, tidy it up, put the rubber bit back.

.

.

etc

Then go do the car bit

(remember to test your speakers before you snip the wire off and put things back together otherwise Chris Martin will be of no help if you reach this stage!

Remember, the front speakers are wired via a cross over

(high-mid

Hope thats some hep to you
