Raced my old man

Post by BLOODUK »

He has a honda prelude vtec 2.2 Bhp modified about 235 - 240 waiting to appear in jap performance, I just fitted a rogue cooling engine bay kit and have it running all the time he has just fitted a carbon bonnet.

I saw him bombing it down the motorway awsome sound i might add
so i thought ahh ill join the motorway and booted it to catch him up
the motorway was only short till the dual carrageway so i didnt get to silly speeds although he probably was as i saw him he mustve saw me and slowed down.

On the dual carrageway its two lanes one way, so i drive by his side and
he shouted how's the fans.. so i said great want a race, and we went for it
He pulled away from me slowly as i had that slight bit of turbo lag and he dropped it a gear to get it into vtec. MY turbo spooled to max and then i pulled past him started to leave him behind and pulled in front and put
my thumbs up.

We didnt do silly speeds, so dont worry it was good fun Top speed I think
he could beat me but i dont want to risk that, But i was chuffed at the performance increase of the car since ive done a few mods on it i think
my car on r/r would be atleast 245+ bhp.

I cant wait till in time i would get a Dastek unichip or something and get
a good gain , considering how hot today was i was well impressed.

Thing is though Nige is it is well known that this type of post is frowned upon automatically, so the voting could well be corrupt, i.e. anyone who posts here will get a certain rating no matter the content of the post.

I myself don't altogether agree with posts encouraging street racing, but am clued up enough to realise that these things happen from time to time & are not always dangerous.

Therefore, it might feel personal to someone who posts.
Long winded & not particularly concise but you know what I mean?

Enrico, the reply by Nige is referring to another post in another section (I think).

Good point though.

blood can you change this thread name please - something like "YOUR CHANCE TO HIT BLOODUK WITH THE BIG STICK" cos only like 6 or 7 folks have so far ! hey, i'm taking a bit of advice from you ! i'm getting a SPAL puller fitted to my intercooler(greddy), hopefully it'll drop intake temps a little.
